RISPOVAL INTRANASAL

Rispoval® IntraNasal is a respiratory vaccine which protects against the two key respiratory viruses in young calves: BRSv and Pi3v.

This vaccine, which can be used from just 9 days of age, is most appropriate for young calves, such as dairy/dairy-bred and autumn/winter born suckler calves, and also older calves needing rapid onset protection.

  • STORAGE
    • Store refrigerated (between + 2°C and + 8°C) away from light. Do not freeze. Ideally transport vaccines in a cool bag/box.
  • MIXING
    • The vaccine comes in 2 vials, one containing a freeze-dried pellet and one containing a sterile liquid. Using a sterile needle and syringe, add all the liquid to the vial containing the freeze-dried pellet. Shake well. Once mixed use within 2 hours.
  • AGE OF USE
    • Can be used from 9 days of age.
  • DOSAGE
    • 2 ml given intranasally.
  • VACCINE COURSE
    • Single dose.
  • VACCINE EFFECTIVE FROM
    • 5 days for BRSv.
    • 10 days for Pi3v.
  • DURATION OF PROTECTION
    • 12 weeks.*

    *Note: duration of protective immunity against Pi3v fraction may be reduced in MDA positive calves vaccinated before 3 weeks of age.

RISPOVAL 4

Rispoval® 4 is a vaccine which protects against the 4 key viruses causing bovine respiratory disease: BRSv, Pi3v, BHV-1 (IBR) and BVDv.

This vaccine is most appropriate for calves over 3 months of age at housing, such as spring born suckler calves.

  • STORAGE
    • Store refrigerated (between + 2°C and + 8°C) away from light. Do not freeze. Ideally transport vaccines in a cool bag/box.
  • MIXING
    • The vaccine comes in 2 vials, one containing a freeze-dried pellet and one containing a liquid suspension. Firstly shake the vial containing the suspension. Using a sterile needle and syringe, withdraw all of the suspension and add to the vial containing the freeze-dried pellet.
    • Shake well. Once mixed use within 2 hours.
  • AGE OF USE
    • From 12 weeks of age.
    • (Can be used from 3 weeks of age but revaccination at 12 weeks of age may be required.)
  • DOSAGE
    • 5 ml given intramuscularly.
  • VACCINE COURSE
    • 2 doses, 3-4 weeks apart.
  • VACCINE EFFECTIVE FROM
    • 14 days.
  • DURATION OF PROTECTION
    • 6 months.
RISPOVAL 2

Rispoval® 2 is derived from Rispoval 4 and is the only live bivalent BRSv and Pi3v injectable vaccine for ease of dosing older calves.

Licensed for use from 12 weeks of age, Rispoval 2 can be used as a follow-on to Rispoval IntraNasal for ongoing protection against BRSv and PI3v, and as a standalone vaccine where BVDv protection is not required and injectable vaccination is preferred. Rispoval 2 can also be used in combination with other vaccines within the Rispoval family allowing a tailored approach to BRD control.

  • STORAGE
    • Store and transport refrigerated (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze. Protect from light..
  • MIXING
    • Reconstitute the vaccine by adding the entire liquid fraction to the vial containing the lyophilised pellet. Shake well before use.
  • AGE OF USE
    • From 12 weeks of age.
  • DOSAGE
    • 4ml given intramuscularly
  • VACCINE COURSE
    • 2 doses, 3-4 weeks apart.
  • VACCINE EFFECTIVE FROM
    • 3 weeks
  • DURATION OF PROTECTION
    • 6 months for BRSV
RISPOVAL PASTEURELLA

Rispoval® Pasteurella is a vaccine which protects against bovine respiratory disease (BRD) caused by Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica.

This single dose vaccine is most appropriate for calves over 3 months of age, at grass or at housing. It is licensed for concurrent use with Rispoval 4 to provide broad 5-way protection against BRD.

  • STORAGE
    • Store refrigerated (between + 2°C and + 8°C) away from light. Do not freeze. Ideally transport vaccines in a cool bag/box.
  • MIXING
    • The vaccine comes in 2 vials, one containing a freeze-dried pellet and one containing a liquid emulsion. Firstly shake the vial containing the emulsion. Using a sterile needle and syringe, withdraw all of the emulsion and add to the vial containing the freeze-dried pellet. Shake well. Once mixed use immediately.
  • AGE OF USE
    • Use from 12 weeks of age.
  • DOSAGE
    • 2 ml given intramuscularly.
  • VACCINE COURSE
    • Single dose.
  • VACCINE EFFECTIVE FROM
    • 7 days.
  • DURATION OF PROTECTION
    • 17 weeks.
RISPOVAL IBR-MARKER LIVE
  • STORAGE
    • Store refrigerated (between + 2ºC and + 8ºC) away from light. Do not freeze. Ideally transport vaccines in a cool bag/box.
  • MIXING
    • The vaccine comes in 2 vials, one containing a freeze-dried pellet and one containing diluent (water for injection). Using a sterile needle and syringe, transfer approximately 4 ml of diluent into the vial containing the freeze-dried pellet and mix well. Then transfer the contents of this vial into the remaining diluent vial and mix well. Once opened use within 8 hours.
  • VACCINE COURSE
    • Primary vaccination: calves 2 weeks - 3 months of age at first vaccination
      • 2 doses - the first intranasally from 2 weeks, the second intramuscularly at 3 months of age
    • Primary vaccination: cattle over 3 months of age
      • A single intramuscular vaccination
    • Cattle at immediate risk of IBR in the face of an outbreak
      • Initial dose given intranasally, followed 3-5 weeks later with a second dose given intramuscularly to ensure ongoing protection
  • DOSAGE
    • 2 mL given intramuscularly or intranasally
  • VACCINE EFFECTIVE FROM
    • 7 days after intranasal administration
    • 21 days after intramuscular administration
  • DURATION OF PROTECTION
    • 6 months
